Job Summary
Assist in the implementation and management of all phases of a competitive NCAA Division II women's softball program, including coaching, recruiting, scheduling, traveling, and managing the budget. Supervise athletes, handle fund-raising, promote the team, and monitor the academic progress of student athletes. Provide part-time teaching in health and physical education and deliver physical education class instruction in traditional courses. Manage recruiting, scheduling, and travel logistics while ensuring compliance with NCAA and conference regulations. Other duties may be assigned by the Head Coach.
Required Qualifications
- Baccalaureate degree
- Knowledge of NCAA and Great American Conference bylaws
- Commitment to the academic success of student athletes
- Ability to organize and motivate student athletes to maximum performance level
- The ability to work, communicate, and develop rapport with students, faculty, administration, alumni, community groups, and media
- Proof of legal authority to work in the United States
- Criminal Background Check
- Sex Offender Registry check
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree
- A competitive background in college, high school, and/or junior college coaching
- Teaching experience
