Assistant Softball Coach (part-time)

Job Summary
Conduct training sessions to develop team skills while scouting opponents and providing in-game support. Recruit and retain qualified student-athletes by assessing talent and managing essential functions like scheduling, eligibility tracking, and supply purchases. Monitor physical and mental well-being of athletes, enforce conduct expectations, and represent the Athletics Department at conferences. Requires an associate's degree (bachelor's preferred), collegiate playing experience, and valid driver's license. Evening and weekend availability is mandatory with travel expected. Reports to the Head Coach and supports the overall success of the Athletics Department.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree from accredited college or university
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to successfully complete a background check, motor vehicle check, and drug test
- Current CPR, AED, and first aid certifications
- Compliance with NCAA Division III rules and regulations
- Compliance with athletic conference rules and regulations
- Ability to demonstrate and teach sport-specific skills required
- Physical ability to include standing and/or walking for long periods, bending, kneeling and stooping, manual dexterity, and ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
- Evening and weekend availability
- Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel for both games and recruiting
- Flexibility with an evolving work environment
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Collegiate playing experience
- Previous coaching experience at the collegiate, high school, and/or club level
- Experience with Front Rush or similar recruiting software
