Assistant Softball Coach

Assistant Softball Coach responsibilities include assisting the Head Coach with practice preparation, scouting, recruiting, scheduling of games, and other athletic duties. Duties cover sport-specific coaching at team, positional, and individual levels; maintaining roster and official athletic documentation; representing the university at community and sporting events; recruiting student-athletes; scouting games; updating statistics; aiding in game and practice scheduling; potential driving of athletes to functions; developing clinics and summer camps and on-campus tryouts; and supporting student-athletes’ academic, spiritual, and social integration while maintaining confidential budgets and facilities information. Qualifications require a Bachelor’s degree and coaching experience; the role involves collaboration with staff to foster a positive student-athlete environment and maintain professional relations with students, faculty, staff, and the public.
