Job Summary
Assistant Softball Coach for Bucks County Community College. Part-time seasonal role supporting the head coach with coaching and administrative duties: execution of softball program philosophy, game preparation, recruitment of student-athletes, equipment and uniforms inventory, supporting student-athletes’ academic progress, fundraising, and promoting an inclusive student experience. Includes driving a college van for away competitions, coordinating team statistics, ensuring compliance with NCAA/USCAA/NJCAA rules, and acting as a professional representative of the college. Requires coaching experience, softball knowledge, familiarity with applicable rules, CPR/First Aid (recommended), a valid driver’s license, and successful background checks. The role emphasizes equality in player development, retention initiatives, and collaboration with student-life leadership; background screenings are required.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in coaching intercollegiate or high school athletics
- Knowledge and experience coaching Softball
- Knowledge of NCAA, USCAA, or NJCAA rules and compliance
- CPR certification, First Aid (Recommended)
- Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
- Background Checks/Clearances
- Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of all required background checks and clearances
- Operate a motor vehicle as part of the job duties
