Job Summary
Contract Assistant Site Superintendent for a large multifamily new construction project in Crystal Lake, IL. Supports the Site Superintendent in daily field operations, coordinates roofing and building envelope work, oversees subcontractors, monitors production schedules and milestones, conducts daily site walks and quality inspections, enforces safety standards, identifies and resolves field issues to protect schedules, tracks manpower and progress reporting, verifies installations meet manufacturer specifications, coordinates inspections and punch list activities, maintains organized project documentation, and builds strong working relationships with owners, general contractors, subcontractors, and inspectors. The ideal candidate is hands-on, motivated to grow into a Superintendent role, and capable of reading plans and shop drawings, with experience in exterior envelope systems and roofing components.
Required Qualifications
- 3–10 years of construction field experience
- Experience with multifamily, commercial, or large residential construction
- Understanding of building envelope systems preferred
- Ability to read plans, specifications, and shop drawings
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency with construction technology and project documentation
- OSHA 30 preferred (or willingness to obtain)
