Job Summary
Ensure safety of program volunteers during site visits and community activities while transporting them to program locations. Train volunteers to perform functional tasks and interact appropriately with peers and community members. Oversee overall site functioning in the absence of the Site Manager, including supervising DSPs. Schedule program activities and maintain accurate written records. Act as a liaison between staff and volunteers, reporting progress, problems, and concerns to the Site Manager. Protect volunteers from neglect or abuse and report incidents to administration. Complete mandated trainings and certifications as determined by program needs. Perform additional duties as requested by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Good oral and written communication skills
- A valid NYS Driver's license
- needs to be and remain a Qualified driver
- Minimum 6 months experience working with people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities
Desired Qualifications
- AMAP/First Aid/CPR/SCIP-R Training
- 1 year experience working with people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities
