Job Summary
Ensure safety of program volunteers during site activities and community outreach, including transporting them to job opportunities. Train volunteers to perform functional tasks and interact appropriately with peers and the community. Oversee overall site functioning in the absence of the Site Manager, supervising DSPs and scheduling program activities. Maintain accurate written records, communicate with parents and advocates regarding volunteer progress, and act as a liaison between staff and volunteers. Report incidents of neglect or abuse to administration immediately and reinforce agency philosophies. Complete all mandated trainings and certifications as required by the program.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Good oral and written communication skills
- A valid NYS Driver's license and needs to be and remain a Qualified driver
- Minimum 6 months experience working with people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities
Desired Qualifications
- AMAP/First Aid/CPR/SCIP-R Training
- 1 year experience working with people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities
