Assistant Site Director

Job Summary

Manage site staff and volunteers to ensure appropriate interactions and active supervision while maintaining a 1:15 adult-to-child ratio. Conduct site meetings, review timesheets, and submit daily incident reports, attendance rosters, and payment trackers to the Vice President of Operations. Run assigned programs, document activities, and serve daily snacks in a family-style dining format. Collect parent payments, process subsidy claims, and maintain site inventory and cleanliness. Provide transportation during special events and conduct parent tours and orientations as needed. Complete required training in CPR, First Aid, and medication administration.

Required Qualifications

  • Must have one of the following state licensing requirements - a four (4) year college degree with a major such as recreation, education with a specialty in art, elementary or early childhood education, or a subject in the human service field.
  • Two years of college training and six (6) months of satisfactory and verifiable full-time or equivalent part-time, paid or volunteer, experience, since attaining the age of eighteen (18), in the care and supervision of 4 or more children.
  • Three years of satisfactory and verifiable full-time or equivalent part-time, paid or volunteer, experience, in the care and supervision of four (4) or more children.
  • The program director must complete six (6) semester hours, nine (9) quarter hours in course work from a regionally accredited college or university, or forty (40) clock hours of training in course work applicable to school-age children within the first nine (9) months of employment.
  • Must be 25 years or older with a clean driving record.
  • Valid Colorado license.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • Must be available M-F between 5:30 am - 8:00 am, 2:00 pm-6:00 pm.
  • Must be available M-F between 5:45 am - 7:45 am, 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.

  • Demonstrate ability in personnel supervision, facilities management, and recruiting and retention of members.
  • Strong communication skills, in both oral and written.
  • Demonstrate ability in working with young people, parents, schools, and community leaders.
  • Ability to onsite train, supervise, and motivate staff.
  • Ability to deal effectively with members including discipline problems.
  • Energetic, active and willing to take initiative.
  • Patience in the redirecting and mentoring of youth.
  • Adapts well to change and fast paced environments.
