Job Summary
The Assistant Site Director for the NYJTL Afterschool Program is responsible for overseeing daily operations at a site, ensuring participant engagement and safety, staff management, and supporting youth development.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree (or 60 credits on college transcript) in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education or a related field
- 2+ years experience working with elementary or middle school-aged children with diverse backgrounds
- Availability Monday - Friday, 1:00pm - 6:00pm during the school year and some school holidays
- Must be able to develop and implement age-appropriate curricula
Desired Qualifications
- Strong interest in working with afterschool programs
- Evidence of strong leadership, project & data management, and organizational skills
- Excellent staff management and administrative skills
- Excellent knowledge of youth development and education
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (primarily Word and Excel)
- Knowledge of DYCD and DOH mandates required, knowledge of DYCD/YouthServices.net preferable
Additional Requirements
- Must be available during specific hours (Monday - Friday, 1:00pm - 6:00pm)
