Job Summary
Act as the second point of contact for parents and administrators while overseeing student safety during after-school activities. Establish and enforce rules to promote positive behavior, then coordinate indoor and outdoor enrichment activities including unique clubs like career readiness and cooking. Facilitate sign-up procedures for accurate attendance tracking and organize educational projects, homework help, and recreational games. Address challenging behavior constructively by involving supervisors or parents as necessary. Attend trainings to stay updated on best practices in childcare, safety, and program management. This role offers leadership growth within Arc Experience's before and after-school programs serving youth across Southern California.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience working in after-school programs or youth recreation, especially in ethnically and culturally diverse communities
- College transcripts that show you have 48+ college credit units completed OR you take and pass an academic proficiency exam
- TB test (and provide proof that it is negative)
- Live Scan background check
- Reliably commute before starting work
