Job Summary
Act as the second point of contact for parents and administrators while overseeing student safety and well-being during after-school activities. Establish rules to promote positive behavior, coordinate enrichment programs including clubs for career readiness and arts, and lead activities such as homework help and recreational games. Track attendance through sign-up procedures, develop lesson plans, and ensure grant compliance alongside administrative duties. Address challenging behavior constructively by involving supervisors or parents when necessary. Attend trainings to stay updated on childcare best practices and safety standards. This role offers leadership growth within Arc Experience's before and after-school programs serving youth across Southern California.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience working in after-school programs or youth recreation, especially in ethnically and culturally diverse communities
- College transcripts that show you have 48+ college credit units completed OR you take and pass an academic proficiency exam
- TB test (and provide proof that it is negative)
- Live Scan background check
- Reliably commute before starting work
