Job Summary
Assist the Head Coach in leading the varsity/JV cheer program at Wheaton Academy, collaborating to coach practices and games, and modeling faith as part of a Christ-centered Living Curriculum. Responsibilities include coaching varsity/JV athletes, leading devotions, maintaining communication with the athletic department, pursuing skill development through clinics, assisting with team excursions, summer camp operations, and college recruiting, and supporting community and school service activities. The ideal candidate has prior collegiate playing experience, prior coaching experience, and proven leadership in directing others toward a coaching or professional program vision. Must embrace the school’s evangelical Protestant faith and demonstrate Christ-centered living as a positive example for students and families. Proficiency with requisite coaching technology to perform instructional and operational duties is expected, along with the ability to collaborate with coaching staff and assist with communication and development of other assistant coaches.
