Assistant Shop Manager

Check in with customers before they leave the shop to ensure satisfaction and assume the Shop Manager's authority during their absence. Run the floor by verifying employee positioning, checking every vehicle, and processing payments for services performed. Execute technician duties including draining motor oil, changing filters, greasing fittings, washing windshields, adjusting tire pressure, inspecting fluids, and performing coolant exchanges. Assist customers in selecting oil types and restock inventory levels while maintaining shop, office, and bathroom cleanliness. Perform opening and closing procedures and hold team members accountable as a role model. Train subordinates and manage all light maintenance services such as replacing wiper blades and filling tires. Work in hot or cold conditions while maneuvering safely under cars in a 3-foot deep pit, lifting up to 50 pounds, and standing for extended periods.
