Assistant Shipping/Receiving Supervisor - Swing

Job Summary

Required Qualifications

• •4 years of experience in shipping
• •1 year of warehouse supervision or managing others
• •Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacturing and distribution of goods
• •The ability to give full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times
• •The ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
• •The ability to monitor/assess your own performance and others' to make improvements or take corrective action
• •The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing
• •The ability to effectively use Word, Excel, and Outlook to carry out work
• •The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences
• •The ability to conduct tests and inspections of processes to evaluate quality or performance
• •Knowledge of elimination of waste, continuous improvement, S5, Kaizen, Quality Built In, JIT, Kanban, and levelized production
• •Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications
• •Must possess the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and heavier weights with proper equipment
• •Domestic and international travel up to 10% of the time
• •Full-time, exempt position
• •Located in Stockton, CA
• •Swing shift position (3:45pm – 12:15am)

Desired Qualifications

• •A two year degree, technical school certificate in Business, or equivalent experience is preferred
