Job Summary
Assistant Service Technician to support lead technicians in servicing, repairing, and installing water/wastewater equipment and systems. Role involves troubleshooting mechanical and basic electrical issues on pumps, motors, blowers, and related process equipment; basic construction knowledge; performing laser shaft alignment and vibration testing; minor welding or fabrication; staging tools and materials; ensuring OSHA and confined-space safety protocol compliance; and participating in an on-call rotation for emergency response. Serves Delaware, Maryland and Virginia; requires valid driver's license and ability to lift up to 75 pounds. 100% company-paid health benefits and ongoing training opportunities are offered.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years as a technician in general construction or industrial maintenance, with a mechanical focus (pumps, piping, rotating equipment)
- Must be comfortable working in and around wastewater environments
- Basic mechanical knowledge
- Able to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Efficiency, accuracy, and responsibility
- Certifications: OSHA 40-hour, Confined Space Entry, CPR & First-Aid
