Job Summary

Assistant Manager in automotive service leads the team in the absence of the Service Manager to deliver a different and better customer experience. Responsibilities include ensuring workplace safety as priority, educating customers about vehicle conditions, achieving VIP SAX scores, executing VIP processes, managing daily team activities, coaching and development, ensuring compliance with service ethics and regulations, coordinating dispatching of work orders to technicians, maintaining facility and equipment, and participating in training and meetings. Requires two years of automotive service management experience, two-year college or technical school program (or equivalent experience), ASE certifications (C1 strongly required; P2 and G1 recommended), a current valid driver’s license, and a focus on safety, communication, and process execution.

Required Qualifications

  • Two years related experience in automotive service management
  • Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
  • Equipment Safety Certification
  • ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
  • P2 Parts Specialist recommended
  • G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
  • State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
