Job Summary
Assistant Manager at VIP Automotive in Waterville, ME, serves as the second-in-command to the Service Manager to ensure safe, efficient operations, exceptional customer experience, and adherence to VIP processes and standards. Responsibilities include leading the team in the Service Manager’s absence, enforcing safety policies, delivering customer education on vehicle conditions, driving VIP SAX performance, coordinating training (LMS, vendor, ASE certifications), managing scheduling, dispatching work orders to technicians, maintaining facility and equipment, and ensuring compliance with the service code of ethics and applicable regulations. Requires strong leadership, communication, and automotive Servicing knowledge; standard 5-day, 40-hour work week; hourly pay.
Required Qualifications
- Two years related experience in automotive service management
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
