Job Summary
Lead the team as the second-in-charge when the Service Manager is absent, ensuring safe operations, strict regulatory compliance, and execution of VIP customer experience standards. Manage daily location preparation, facility maintenance, and equipment checks while controlling work order dispatching to technicians. Serve customers by consulting on vehicle conditions based on MPI inspections and educate them on necessary solutions through the 5 for 5 process. Enforce safety policies, track associate training completion, and support team development toward superior performance metrics. Work a standard 40-hour week with a valid driver's license and ASE certifications required.
Required Qualifications
- Strong people management and leadership skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Sound business sense, with the ability to analyze, prioritize, identify, and implement solutions
- Strong organization and time management skills
- A comprehensive understanding of automotive servicing and the industry
- Two years related experience in automotive service management
- Current, valid driver's license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1– Service Consultant required
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
- Ability to adjust focus
- Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less)
- Distance Vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more)
- Color Vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors)
- Peripheral Vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point)
- Depth Perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships)
Desired Qualifications
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
