Job Summary

Assistant Manager in an automotive service location leads the team in delivering VIP customer experiences, ensures safety and regulatory compliance, coaches staff, and executes managerial activities under the Service Manager. Responsibilities include prioritizing safety, educating customers on vehicle conditions via MPI inspections, driving VIP process adherence and SAX scoring, coordinating daily work orders and technician assignments, overseeing facility maintenance and cleanliness, ensuring compliance with codes and policies, and acting as policy administrator when the Service Manager is not on site. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and automotive servicing knowledge, with a standard 5-day, 40-hour workweek and hourly pay. Required qualifications emphasize leadership, LMS and vendor training completion, ASE certifications, and relevant state licenses.

Required Qualifications

  • Two years related experience in automotive service management
  • Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
  • Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
  • Equipment Safety Certification
  • ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
  • ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
  • ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
  • State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
