Job Summary
Assistant Manager at VIP Auto Service in Skowhegan, ME serves as the second-in-command to the Service Manager, leading the team in the manager's absence to deliver a differentiating customer experience and high-performance results. Responsibilities include enforcing safety policies, educating customers about vehicle conditions via MPI, driving VIP processes to improve engagement and SAX scores, ensuring all staff complete LMS and vendor trainings, certifying technicians, coordinating with the Service Manager to develop a superior team, managing daily operations, dispatching work orders to available technicians, maintaining facility and equipment, ensuring compliance with ethical and regulatory standards, and supporting daily store operations through proactive communication, training, and process execution.
Required Qualifications
- Two years related experience in automotive service management
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
