Job Summary
Assistant Manager at an automotive service location in Scarborough, ME, serving as second-in-command to the Service Manager. Responsible for leading the team in the Service Manager's absence, ensuring safety and compliance with policies, delivering a high-quality customer experience, executing VIP programs and standards, coordinating training and development (LMS, vendor, ASE certifications), managing daily store operations (communication, scheduling, dispatch, service desk, and maintenance), and ensuring facility and equipment readiness while upholding service codes and regulatory requirements. Standard work week is 5 days and 40 hours; requires strong leadership, communication, and automotive-servicing knowledge to drive performance and customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- Two years related experience in automotive service management
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
