Job Summary
Assistant Manager at VIP Automotive in Sanford, ME acts as the second-in-command to support the Service Manager, lead the team in delivering a safe, high-quality customer experience, ensure adherence to VIP processes, manage daily operations, safety, training, communication, and performance execution. Responsibilities emphasize safety leadership, customer engagement, understanding vehicle conditions via MPI inspections, sustaining facility and equipment readiness, coordinating work orders, maintaining compliance with the service code of ethics and regulations, and developing the team through LMS and vendor training while pursuing ASE certifications as outlined.
Required Qualifications
- Two years related experience in automotive service management
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
