Job Summary

Assistant Service Manager at VIP Automotive in Saco, ME acts as the second-in-command to the Service Manager, leading the team, ensuring safety and compliance, delivering an exceptional customer experience, and executing VIP programs and standards. Responsibilities include prioritizing workplace safety, engaging customers about vehicle conditions using MPI inspection results, driving VIP Sales & Execution (SAX) performance, coordinating with the Service Manager to develop and lead the team, ensuring LMS and vendor trainings are completed, certifying technicians (TIA, ASE), managing daily communications, coordinating work orders and dispatch, and maintaining facility and equipment readiness. The role requires strong leadership, communication, organizational and automotive service knowledge, plus a valid driver's license and relevant ASE certifications.

Required Qualifications

  • Two years related experience in automotive service management
  • Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
  • ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
  • ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
  • ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
  • State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
  • Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
  • Equipment Safety Certification
