Job Summary
Assistant Manager at VIP Automotive in Rochester, NH, acts as second-in-command to the Service Manager, leading the team to deliver a differentiated customer experience and high-performance results. Responsibilities include ensuring workplace safety, educating customers about vehicle conditions via VIP processes, driving engagement and SAX scores, coordinating with the Service Manager to develop a superior team, ensuring staff LMS and vendor training completion, certifying technicians and supporting ASE certifications, maintaining clear internal communication, managing dispatch of work orders to technicians, and ensuring facility and equipment maintenance and regulatory compliance. The role emphasizes leadership, safety, customer-centric service, and adherence to VIP policies and professional standards.
Required Qualifications
- Two years related experience in automotive service management
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1– Service Consultant required
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
- Ability to lead a team, ensure safety, communicate effectively, and manage service operations
