Job Summary
Assistant Manager at VIP Automotive in Presque Isle, ME serves as second-in-command to the Service Manager, ensuring safe operations, effective communication, and delivery of VIP programs and customer experiences. Responsibilities include leading the team in the Manager’s absence, enforcing safety and policies, coaching associates, coordinating training (LMS and vendor), supervising dispatch and work orders, maintaining facility standards, and ensuring compliance with Code of Ethics and municipal/state/federal regulations; requires strong leadership, communication, organization, automotive servicing knowledge, and ability to drive high SAX scores and customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- Two years related experience in automotive service management
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
