Job Summary
Assistant Manager at VIP Automotive in Portsmouth, NH, serving as the second in charge to the Service Manager. Responsibilities include leading the team in the Service department, ensuring safety compliance and policy adherence, delivering an exceptional customer experience, educating customers on vehicle conditions based on MPI inspections, driving VIP program execution and SAX performance, coordinating service-deliverables with the Service Manager, developing and coaching staff, managing daily operations and communications, ensuring proper training and certifications for associates, and maintaining facility and equipment readiness while adhering to codes and regulations. Requires strong leadership, communication, organizational skills, automotive servicing knowledge, and ability to oversee diverse operational tasks and vendor/employee training.
Required Qualifications
- Two years related experience in automotive service management
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1– Service Consultant required
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
