Job Summary
Assistant Service Manager at VIP, Marshfield MA, serves as second-in-command to the Service Manager to ensure a safe, compliant, and high-performing service department. Responsibilities include leading the team in the Service Manager’s absence, delivering VIP customer experiences, enforcing safety and policy adherence, coordinating communication and daily huddles, managing work orders and technician assignments, ensuring LMS and vendor training completion, and maintaining facility standards. Requires strong leadership, supervisory capabilities, automotive service knowledge, and ASE/driver certifications; standard work week is 5 days at 40 hours; non-exempt hourly classification.
Required Qualifications
- Two years related experience in automotive service management
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1– Service Consultant required
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
