Job Summary
Assistant Service Manager at VIP Auto in Londonderry, NH leads the team in the Service Department in the absence of the Service Manager, ensuring safety, exceptional customer experience, adherence to VIP processes, and achievement of performance goals. Responsibilities include managing daily operations, training and guiding associates, coordinating with the Service Manager, enforcing safety and ethical standards, communicating with customers, managing work orders and staff, maintaining facility and equipment, and ensuring compliance with municipal, state, and federal regulations. Requires automotive service management experience (minimum two years), leadership and communication skills, ASE certifications (C1 preferred, P2/G1 recommended), and a valid driver’s license; typical schedule is a 5-day workweek at 40 hours, with hourly pay.
Required Qualifications
- Two years related experience in automotive service management
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
