Job Summary
Assistant Manager at VIP Auto Service in Lewiston, ME leads the location in the Service Manager's absence, ensuring a safe, compliant, and high-quality customer experience. Responsibilities include leading the team, coordinating with technicians, delivering VIP processes to educate customers on vehicle conditions, maintaining facility and equipment, enforcing safety and regulatory policies, conducting daily communication and meetings, managing work orders and service desk operations, and driving engagement and performance through training and mentorship. Requires automotive service knowledge, strong leadership and communication skills, LMS and safety training, ASE certifications, and a valid driver’s license. The role is a full-time, in-person position with a standard 5-day, 40-hour work week.
Required Qualifications
- Two years related experience in automotive service management
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
