Job Summary
Oversee daily maintenance tasks, building inspections, and emergency repairs while supervising a team to deliver top-notch service. Maintain effective maintenance programs, manage vendor contracts, and conduct cost-benefit analyses to optimize service delivery. Keep an inventory of equipment and tools, prepare maintenance reports, and monitor the annual maintenance budget. Serve as a role model by following all policies and procedures to ensure a safe, sanitary environment for residents and staff. Communicate effectively with staff, residents, and leadership, and train and mentor maintenance personnel to foster professional growth. Work on-call and extended hours including weekends and holidays to support property operations.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in multifamily property management or 3+ years in property management
- In-depth knowledge of maintenance practices, safety protocols, and fair housing regulations
- Leadership experience, with a track record of managing teams and fostering strong working relationships
- Experience with property management software-Yardi preferred, purchase order systems, Microsoft Office, and collaboration tools like Teams and Zoom
- Ability to work on-call and extended hours (including weekends and holidays)
- A hands-on approach and a commitment to maintaining high standards of work and safety
- Comfortable with tasks that involve bending, kneeling, and working in confined spaces
- Ability to climb ladders (up to 30 feet) and walk multiple flights of stairs daily
- Flexibility to work indoors and outdoors, in all weather conditions
- A valid Driver's License

- Experience with property management software-Yardi preferred
