Job Summary
Assistant Manager at VIP Auto Service in Farmingdale, ME serves as the second-in-command to the Service Manager, leading the team in their absence, ensuring safety, enforcing VIP processes, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. Responsible for employee development, training alignment (LMS and vendor training), ensuring certifications (ASE C1, P2, G1 where applicable), managing daily operations, coordinating dispatch and work orders, maintaining facility and equipment standards, enforcing ethical and regulatory compliance, and driving VIP Sales & Execution (SAX) performance. The role emphasizes leadership, communication, safety, process adherence, and delivering high-performance results through effective team management and customer engagement.
Required Qualifications
- Two years related experience in automotive service management
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
