Job Summary
Assistant Manager at VIP Automotive in Calais, ME, second-in-command to the Service Manager, leading the team in the manager's absence to deliver VIP programs and a differentiated customer experience. Responsible for safety priority, adherence to policies and regulations, staff training (LMS, vendor training, ASE certifications), coordinating dispatch of work orders to technicians, maintaining a clean and compliant service facility, and assisting in developing a superior team through leadership and communication. The role emphasizes driving customer engagement, managing store operations, and ensuring high-performance results through effective management of daily activities, safety, and service processes.
Required Qualifications
- Two years related experience in automotive service management
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
