Job Summary
Assistant Manager at VIP Automotive in Burlington, VT, second in command to the Service Manager. Responsible for leading the team in the Service department, delivering a different and better customer experience, ensuring safety compliance and adherence to VIP processes, supervising training and development (LMS, vendor training, ASE certifications), coordinating service-desk and technician dispatch, and maintaining facility and equipment to meet safety and environmental standards. Requires strong leadership, communication, and automotive service knowledge; duties include enforcing the Code of Ethics and regulatory compliance, and supporting management to achieve performance targets.
Required Qualifications
- Two years related experience in automotive service management
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1– Service Consultant required
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
