Job Summary
Assistant Manager at VIP Auto Service in Billerica, MA serves as the second in command to the Service Manager, leading the team in their absence to ensure safety, customer experience, and compliance with VIP processes. Responsibilities include enforcing safety policies, coaching staff, managing service desk and dispatch, coordinating with technicians, maintaining facility and equipment, ensuring policy compliance with municipal/state regulations, and delivering VIP program execution to customers. Requires strong leadership and communication, automotive service knowledge, and two years of related automotive service management experience; two-year college or technical training recommended; ASE certifications (C1 required, P2 and G1 recommended), and a valid driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- Two years related experience in automotive service management
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1– Service Consultant required
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
