Job Summary
Assistant Service Manager at VIP Auto in Arundel, ME, as second in command to the Service Manager, leads the team to deliver a different and better customer experience by ensuring safety, executing VIP programs and standards, and coordinating the daily operations, training, and communication. Responsibilities include enforcing safety policies, training, ASE-related certifications for staff, managing dispatch and work orders to technicians, supervising service desk and facility maintenance, ensuring regulatory compliance, conducting regular team meetings, and acting as policy administrator when the Service Manager is off-site. The role requires strong leadership, clear communication, and a solid understanding of automotive servicing; standard work week is five days and 40 hours. PayType: Hourly.
Required Qualifications
- Two years related experience in automotive service management
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
