Assistant Service Manager

Job Summary
Oversee property maintenance and make-ready tasks alongside the Service Manager; respond to resident management requests and work orders; perform repairs on appliances, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and other maintenance items; conduct safety audits and identify hazardous conditions; manage preventative maintenance, grounds keeping, and pool duties; assist in preparing vacant units for move-in and support show/model units for presentations; coordinate with Lead Maintenance Technician and Community Manager, and ensure confidentiality and safety practices are followed; travel to other properties as needed and maintain accurate timekeeping.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years of multi-family experience or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- HVAC/Freon Recovery certification or ability to become certified within the first 6 months of employment
- Training in household repairs, plumbing and mold detection/resolution preferred
- Certified Apartment Maintenance Technician (CAMT) preferred
- Must have certifications/permits required by city or state to perform job responsibilities (i.e. pool operations)
- Ability to read and write in English to read diagrams, meters, instructions, and write reports
