Job Summary
Coordinate security contract execution and assign tasks to Security Professionals under Account Manager direction. Supervise shift supervisors and Security Professionals regarding performance, operations, and department needs, including coaching, training, and evaluating work performance. Maintain post orders, ensure site cleanliness, and oversee reports, logs, and pass downs. Assist in hiring, conduct on-the-job training for new employees, and manage sub-units like fire control rooms and command centers. Respond to minor incidents and client emergencies, address personnel issues such as payroll or complaints, and enforce security standards. Available for as-needed shifts outside normal hours with 24/7 accessibility for emergency response.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum three (3) – five (5) years of professional-level experience
- Prior experience in the security industry, law enforcement and/or military
- Must possess a valid state Guard License, or have applied and subsequently be issued such a license prior to employment
- As a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background investigation and a post-offer/pre-employment drug/alcohol test
- As a condition of continued employment, employee must maintain current active status of Guard License at all times
- Must carry the license at all times while on duty
- Must possess a valid Driver's License with at least one year of driving experience
- Must have a clean driving record (no major violations within last 36 months, no more than one accident in last 24 months, no more than one minor moving violation in last 24 months)
- Must have a minimum level of insurance as required by Company policy
- Must have the ability to safely operate a vehicle
- Energetic and focused personality with a demonstrated ability to take initiative
- Must successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments
- Must effectively manage deadlines
- Demonstration of strong customer service orientation required
- Must be able to effectively resolve client issues in a professional and service-focused manner
- Must be able to de-escalate situations before they become hostile or unpleasant
- Professional, articulate and able to use good independent judgment and discretion
- Must be able to train and coach others
- Must be able to effectively enforce post orders, security standards and company policies equitably and consistently
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills required
- Must be able to successfully interact at all levels of the organization, including with clients
- Must function as a team player
- Must be available to work outside normal shift schedule on an as-needed basis
- Must be accessible by phone or pager 24/7 for emergency response
Desired Qualifications
- College education or business classes
- Experience in scheduling, operations or other functions of security industry
- Ability to write effective and concise reports in neat, legible handwriting
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software and email
