Job Summary
Develop mammalian cell lines and assess platforms to produce monoclonal and bispecific antibodies, fusion proteins or other recombinant proteins for clinical and commercial manufacturing. Perform cell staining, imaging and flow cytometry; collaborate with Upstream Process Development, Downstream Purification, and Analytical Development to support development activities; create written technical reports and present data. Maintain a research lab notebook, record information on activities, and ensure compliance with lab procedures, regulatory requirements. Evaluate and introduce innovative technologies to improve the cell line development process and therapeutic protein production. Assist with ongoing business and innovation projects in the lab and work with other functional teams to support development activities. The candidate must be well-organized with excellent oral and written communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- BS degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry or related biologics field; MS preferred
- 0-4 years of experience
- Experience with aseptic culture of mammalian cell lines is required
- Hands-on experience with flow cytometry and cell imaging techniques (fluorescent microscopy) is desirable
