Job Summary
Assistant Sales Manager at Ashley: supports the sales team to deliver an in-store experience aligned with the brand, coaches and develops a team of associates, uses performance metrics to drive results, analyzes trends to maximize sales, and ensures ethical standards and security protocols. Requires 3+ years retail or sales management and a bachelor’s degree preferred; experience managing 15+ associates and a track record of meeting financial objectives; commission-based environment experience is a plus. Provides leadership, coaching, training, and recruitment support, and collaborates on product knowledge and store presentation to boost customer satisfaction and profitability.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years Retail or Sales Management
- A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related areas is preferable.
- Prior experience successfully managing a team of 15 or more associates is required.
- Proven track record of meeting financial objectives
- Ability to execute plans and strategies
- Ability to positively lead, mentor and drive a successful sales team
- Experience in a commissioned sales environment preferred.
- Proven track record of customer service excellence
- Goal oriented – Energetically focuses efforts on meeting goals, mission, or objective.
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Effectively work on multiple projects simultaneously
