Job Summary
Assistant Sales Consultants greet guests and provide prompt, friendly service while learning knowledge of wine, spirits, beer, cigars, and other products to promote sales. Responsibilities include maintaining clean, organized shelves, stocking merchandise, operating POS and processing payments, applying discounts, verifying age for alcohol/tobacco purchases, wrapping and carrying out purchases, creating custom gift baskets, participating in truck deliveries, and supporting merchandising and operational standards. Requires flexible scheduling including nights, weekends, and holidays; 21+ age; no prior retail experience required (customer-facing experience a plus). The role emphasizes a team-oriented atmosphere, compliance with company policies, product knowledge, and delivering a high-quality guest experience.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- The ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as business needs demand
- No prior retail experience required, though previous customer-facing experience is a plus
- Maintain regular and predictable onsite attendance
- Able to stand and move for extended periods, lift up to 40 lbs, and perform physical tasks as described
