Job Summary
Assistant Roadmaster at Watco supports supervision and facilitation of inspection, construction, maintenance and repair of railroad track infrastructure. Responsibilities include leading daily work plans, coordinating track inspections and maintenance with track inspectors and third-party contractors, ensuring safety and compliance with CFR Title 49 Parts 213 and 214, fostering positive relationships with leadership, customers, vendors and agencies, evaluating performance and training needs, and assisting with hiring and tool/equipment provisioning. Requires supervisory experience in track maintenance, a valid driver’s license, and Track Inspector certification; a Class A CDL is preferred. Position located in Cherryvale, KS, with in-person requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years relevant track maintenance and supervisory experience
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Class A CDL with no restrictions preferred
- Track Inspector certification
