Job Summary
Assistant Risk & Assurance Manager in London (Hybrid – minimum 3 days in office) delivering internal audit and assurance activities; ownership of end-to-end audit assignments from scoping to reporting; develop risk-based audit scoping documents; perform controls testing and evaluate design and operating effectiveness; identify control weaknesses and practical remediation actions; provide independent assurance and advisory support to business stakeholders; present findings to senior management and the Finance Committee; coach and support junior staff and strengthen the risk management framework across the organisation.
Required Qualifications
- Solid experience delivering internal audits end-to-end (scoping, testing, reporting and action tracking) within a complex organisation
- Demonstrable experience assessing controls design and operating effectiveness
- Experience producing clear assurance conclusions and recommendations based on testing evidence
- Experience engaging with senior stakeholders and providing constructive challenge
- Strong technical auditing skills with the ability to apply judgement pragmatically
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify root causes and meaningful improvements
- Strong written communication skills, with experience producing high-quality reports
- Confident verbal communication and presentation skills with senior stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and deliver work to agreed timelines
