Job Summary
Support Credit Risk ad hoc analytical work for UK-based stakeholders using SAS, SQL, and Excel. Lead a team of 3-4 analysts while conducting periodic thematic deep-dive reviews and testing quality assurance controls across lending underwriting processes. Manage monthly Risk team deliverables and act as the Risk Champion to develop the risk management agenda, ensuring transparency and accountability. Create analytical stories for Senior Management and Board committees, maintaining strict compliance standards and completing mandatory training. This role enhances the Bank's risk analytics capability to accelerate insights for internal and Board risk committees.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years' experience of owning and running regular ad hoc risk analysis
- 7+ years previous experience using SAS/SQL
- Advanced excel user (i.e. proficient user with respect to Vlookups, VBA, other excel formulas) essential
- Proficient user of Microsoft PowerPoint, creating presentations for senior management
- A university degree in a quantitative field (i.e. Engineering or Mathematics) is essential
Desired Qualifications
- 7+ years' experience of undertaking a risk related role within a retail consumer finance business is desirable
