Job Summary
Monitor and manage daily salon operations in a fast-paced environment, leading by example to maintain a professional, impeccably clean space. Establish clear goals for Team Members, provide coaching and training to improve daily performance, and assist the Salon Director in controlling top-line revenue, expenses, and labor costs. Generate sales reports, maintain inventory, and help ensure proper staffing levels to maximize productivity while meeting personal sales expectations. Work nights, Saturdays, and Sundays as required for management coverage, with a typical five-day, 40-to-45-hour schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Management and/or Sales experience
- Basic Computer skills (ability to use Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Ability to manage effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple situations simultaneously
- Knowledge of client service techniques and operational practices
- Problem-solving and organizational/planning skills
- Strong leaderships skills, with the ability to coach and mentor while having knowledge of supervisory practices and procedures
- Team building skills
- Ability to prioritize and delegate
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Ability to bend at the waist to clean tanning equipment
- Ability to lift or assist in lifting items and heavy boxes
- Ability to bend down to pick up trash, towels, etc. from the floors
- Ability to perform salon cleaning functions including dusting, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, etc.
- Ability to work nights as well as Saturdays and Sundays as required to provide management coverage
- Has reliable ability and transportation to go to the bank as needed
- Candidate should expect to work five days per week, and approximately a 40-to-45-hour work schedule depending on hourly or salary status
