Job Summary
As an Assistant Restaurant Manager, assist the General Manager in restaurant operations and achieving planned sales/profit levels by enforcing policies and procedures, guiding staff to ensure guest satisfaction, and maintaining a quality work environment. Responsibilities include planning and analyzing administration and operations manpower, ensuring proper cash handling and payment processing, recruiting and training staff, completing coursework for the Perkins training program, achieving ServSafe certification, supervising all restaurant functions to ensure proper food preparation and presentation, monitoring food temperatures to reduce risk factors, scheduling and staffing to meet productivity standards, managing facilities and equipment maintenance, maintaining inventory accuracy, preventing system breakdowns to optimize guest satisfaction, and preparing financial data and reports. Required qualifications include supervisory experience in food service and a high school diploma (some college preferred), strong communication, and multitasking abilities.
Required Qualifications
- One to two years previous experience in a supervisory role; preferably in the food service industry
- High school diploma; some college or degree preferred
- Must be able to effectively communicate with employees, guests and vendors in person and by telephone
- Must be able to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously
