Job Summary
Monitor medical, physical, and behavioral changes daily, document incidents immediately, and report medication errors per policy. Implement the resident's Overall Plan of Service, ensuring dietary plans are followed and staff ratios are maintained. Transport clients to appointments and outings while maintaining accountability for daily funds and petty cash. Conduct monthly staff meetings, provide mandatory training, and ensure compliance with DDS regulations and safety requirements including fire drills. Maintain the home's cleanliness, vehicle upkeep, and emergency systems while adhering to privacy and confidentiality policies. Be available for on-call coverage and work different shifts as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Vehicle in well maintained condition
- Valid registration
- Auto insurance
- Good driving record
- Working vehicle during a scheduled shift
- Fuel to transport clients as needed
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- CNA or 1 year experience in Human Services field
- CPR Certification
- First Aid Certification
- Medication Administration Certification
- PMT certification
- Active certifications
