Job Summary
Supervise staff activities and create comprehensive daily schedules for each shift while managing house operations and employee oversight. Implement emergency procedures during crisis situations and train new staff to ensure active treatment for individuals served. Accompany individuals on medical appointments, document incident reports and SCIP-R data, and evaluate monthly progress against short-term objectives. Modify areas to secure safety, perform physical SCIP techniques, and complete assigned billing and CI responsibilities. Obtain AMAP certification within 90 days and participate in interdisciplinary team meetings.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- One (1) year experience working with developmentally disabled adults
- Valid NYS driver's license
- Approved to drive by Brightway's Transportation Department
- Working knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis
- Working knowledge of Positive Behavioral Support
- AMAP Certification
- Ability to modify the area to secure the safety of the individuals
- Ability to move/push tables and other heavy objects up to 20 pounds
- Ability to lift, move, and carry 20 pounds
- Ability to run after an individual up to 500 feet
- Ability to run to a program in need up to 500 feet
- Ability to kneel, twist, and bend
- Ability to respond to fire alarms
- Ability to perform all physical SCIP techniques
