Job Summary
Assistant Residential Director for Non-Secure Placement (NSP) leads operational oversight of residential programs for justice-involved youth in community-based, non-secure settings. Responsibilities include leading critical incident reviews, coordinating internal audits and pre-oversight activities, coordinating youth transfers with the Clinical Director, reviewing Performance Improvement Plans, updating emergency preparedness, addressing safety and behavioral concerns, ensuring JYF training compliance, implementing the MYSI model, conducting program documentation audits, collaborating with Human Resources on recruitment and disciplinary matters, and monitoring facility repairs and safety procedures. Requires a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) and at least 3 years of youth-residential experience with a supervisory background; full-time exempt role, 35 hours/week. Emphasizes regulatory compliance, trauma-informed care, staff development, and interdepartmental collaboration to maintain quality and readiness across 70 locations in NY.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, Criminal Justice, Psychology, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in youth residential settings
- At least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of non-secure placement programming
- Trauma-informed care
- Effective communicator with leadership in fast-paced environments
- Interdepartmental collaboration and regulatory compliance
