Job Summary
Assistant Residential Counselor in Lifeworks’ residential program for adults with ID/DD. Responsibilities include hands-on direct care (assistance with showering, toileting, grooming, and meals), ensuring safe and secure environments, providing education, training, counseling, and physical assistance to achieve ISP goals (functional academics, domestic skills, health, hygiene, social and leisure skills, communication, mobility, money management), developing and presenting annual ISPs and semi-annual assessments, providing transportation to individuals as needed, and performing case management with confidential documentation. Requirements include experience with ID/DD, a high school diploma or GED (experience preferred in related field), ability to pass fingerprint/CORI/DPPC and driving background checks, valid driver’s license, and MAP certification preferred. Required Qualifications
- Experience working with Individuals with ID/DD
- Highschool Diploma/GED, experience is preferred in related field.
- Must be able to pass Fingerprint background check, CORI, DPPC and Driving background checks
- Valid Driver's License required
- Valid MAP certification is preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
