Assistant Teacher/Counselor (Residential Counselor) to support adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities in Lifeworks’ residential program. Responsibilities include direct care such as showering, toileting, shaving, and meal-time assistance; ensuring safe, secure environments; providing education, training, counseling, and physical assistance to achieve ISP goals across areas like functional academics, health and personal hygiene, social and leisure skills, communication, mobility, self-esteem, and money management; developing and presenting annual ISPs and semi-annual assessments; providing transportation; coordinating with family, guardians, and supporters; performing case management and maintaining confidential records; coordinating meetings as needed. Requirements include experience with ID/DD, a high school diploma/GED, ability to pass required background checks, and a valid driver’s license; MAP certification is preferred.
